And I'm feeling like I'm trapped inside a darkly colored glass
When I only thought before that this would pass.

Manage my mistrust, put my back against a wall
I'm not brave enough to run away, barely strong enough to crawl
Inside my chest I feel the stirrings of a spark
Howling sad and mournful in the dark

Though I see its light and feel its warmth upon my skin
A fire needs oxygen to burn and I can't breathe to let it in
